Recording videos is, for us entrepreneurs, not a hobby (it can be a lot of fun) but the most social way to reach people you can help (aka your future clients).
You can go to events and network meetings – but that takes up a lot of your time
You can write beautiful posts – but that will hardly touch people
You can post pictures – but then people won’t believe what they see
Videos make you accessible and show that you are good at your job. Just what your future client needs to say ‘yes’.
With a good script, you touch your viewers mind and heart, as well as making it easy on yourself. No blabbering unnecessarily, losing the thread of your story and losing your viewer already in the first 10 seconds of your video.
So with my script, you can get straight to work – and skip those annoying beginners’ mistakes:
What other entrepreneurs say about my video scripts:
A script gives me a foothold during filming. This keeps me from improvising, rambling or straying from my subject. – Ilse Kreuze, Kameleon Communications
Writing a script forces you to think in advance about what you want to say and, more importantly, what you don’t want to say. It gives structure. You build a story with the sample scripts of the Video Woman. – Karin van der Tuin, Good Feels Better
Preparing my video shoots by making a script has given me much more structure in telling my story. I have gained so much more self-confidence in front of the camera. – Ilse Westdijk, Kidsabilities
Preparing with a script ensures I keep the focus on the subject, so I don’t stray from the topic. – Monique Postema, Monique coaches kids
Using a script as a guide makes it easy to create spontaneous, inspiring and beating videos. – Jacqueline Welbers, Lovelyday
Without a script, you quickly lose the thread of your story. It also helps to really get to the essence, the core of what you want to say in your video. – Kathleen Coppieters, Parenting in connection
A script gives me something to hold on to. It gives my stories a clear beginning, middle and end and, very importantly, keeps them short. Moreover, the preparation helps, reducing the recording time. – Nicole Klip, Klip en Klaar Coaching
